Practice speaking with a patient conversation partner who knows what you are learning. Simorgh ties every chat back to your lessons and the poem you just read.
Persian poetry doesn't ask to be translated. It asks to be felt. Here is a rubāʿī from Omar Khayyam — four lines, nine hundred years old, still finding people:
Rubāʿī · Khayyam
ابر آمد و باز بر سرِ سبزه گریست
بی بادهٔ گلرنگ نمیباید زیست
این سبزه که امروز تماشاگهِ ماست
تا سبزهٔ خاکِ ما تماشاگهِ کیست
Abr āmad o bāz bar sar-e sabzeh gerist…
The cloud came and wept again upon the grass. Without rose-coloured wine, life cannot be lived. This grass we gaze on today — whose eyes will one day gaze upon the grass above our dust?
Inside Daenaly, every line has a guide. Tap a word to learn it. Ask Simorgh what it means to you. The poem is the lesson.
Take a short placement quiz and tell us your goal — family, travel, heritage, or poetry. We tailor your path from day one.
Work through interactive lessons, build your vocabulary notebook, and explore Iranian culture at your own pace.
Chat with Simorgh, keep a daily streak, and let poetry become part of your routine.
You speak it at home but can't read a menu in Tehran. Daenaly has a heritage track built for exactly that — script, reading, and the cultural depth your school never taught.
Structured lessons, real dialogues, and an AI guide who knows Persian culture — not just grammar rules. Go from hello to poetry in one year.
Simorgh leads the journey — but Ferdowsi, Nazli, Rostam, and others walk beside you when poetry, food, or history calls.

From the founder · Tehran
One morning in Tehran, the thought was already there when I opened my eyes: I wish the world could learn Persian more easily. Just that. A wish, not a business plan.
I'm a backend developer — eight years inside banks and fintech, billing engines, credit scoring, fluorescent light. But I grew up with Hafez on the table. A line I read at nineteen still finds me sometimes.
When I started building the app, everything turned. Teaching grammar alone felt like teaching music by naming the notes. Every tool I found taught hello, how much, where's the bathroom — nothing for a kid in the diaspora trying to understand why their grandmother's voice mattered.
Daenaly became both: the language and the world behind it. I want you to reach a line of Hafez someday and feel, in your chest, why it's still here after seven hundred years.
I'm at the beginning. If that question has ever found you too — come stand at the door with me.
